Agrupamento de Escolas da Batalha (AEB)is in the Central Region of Portugal, more precisely in the district of Leiria.AEB includes from kindergarten to high school, therefore the ages of our students range from 3 to 18.AEB has a total of 1806 pupils attending, including pre-school, primary, and secondary education, as well as the EFA (Adult Education and Training) course and 195 teachers. From the socio-economic point of view, the school includes students from different strata, coming most of them from families with low-income AEB has changed its educational approach and practices, focusing on our main target: the student. Their most important aim is to enable students to develop, grow, and become committed citizens. The school has technical-educational resources and fundamental equipment to assure and guarantee the quality of student learning, as well as the continuous training and lifelong learning of its educational agents. and initiatives. Agrupamento de Escolas da Batalha has teachers that are invited to give lectures and workshops in Portugal and also throughout Europe. Some of these lectures and workshops are concerning European SchoolNet projects such as eTwinning, Europeana, and others. AEB is a Cisco Academy and PaloAlto training academies. They are also a Carnegie Mellon University Computer Science Academy. They took part in several ESA Education projects such as Mission Zero and Mission Space Lab (last year 2 of the teams had their experiences on the International Space Station). AEB also has been in the Apps for Good initiative for several years developing several projects with mobile technologies. They are commonly invited by the Ministry of Education to present their projects as an example in conferences. They are the first Portuguese school to introduce the thematic of Artificial Intelligence in school through their Club of Robotics and Programming. Students of AEB are constantly involved in projects and activities where they are challenged to put their knowledge in contexts, such as the Municipality Contexts of Ideas and Entrepreneurship. Every year, because they have professional courses in the school. Their students must present publicly their technological projects to external entities such as companies and industry associations.
